This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

We are seeking an experienced Property Lawyer (Solicitor or Legal Executive) to join our Financial Services Litigation Team to help deliver an outstanding integrated service on behalf of our lender clients. You’ll work between our FSL and Real Estate Teams, to undertake a first-class conveyancing service for properties that have been repossessed.

The Team

Moore Barlow has one of the UK’s most experienced financial services legal teams and Real Estate teams, working in partnership with our clients. As a firm, we aim to be the best career firm to work for, and this has helped us to grow to over 430 employees, including 70 partners. Put simply, we care as much about your career as you do.

Our Financial Services Litigation team has a fantastic offering led by Susie Marsh. We act for a wide range of lender clients, including commercial, residential, second charge, bridging, short-term, development and other bespoke asset-based lenders. We have been doing this for over twenty years and have built a highly regarded reputation in the industry with their mix of fixed fee and bespoke service offering.

Our repossession sales team works closely with our Financial Services Litigation Team to provide a market-leading conveyancing service around the sale of repossessed properties on behalf of the firm’s lender clients and receivers.

What are we looking for, and why should you apply?

We are seeking an individual who can help us to build out an integrated conveyancing offering around the sale of repossessed properties, by working alongside our leading FSL and Property Teams. Our goal is to properly realise the value of this work stream, and to continue to grow our client base which already includes a number of long-term relationships.

Ideally, you will have expertise in the conveyancing of properties that have been repossessed, however, we would also be interested in hearing from those with more generalist experience who are looking to try something new.

As a newly created position, this role would suit an individual with the hunger to grow their career further, and this role comes with the opportunity to progress to Partnership in time. You’ll manage your own caseload of work, and in time you may have the opportunity to grow the team further, taking on management responsibility.

Whilst likely to be based in Southampton or Guildford, we are offering flexible working in terms of home and office, but we’d need you to be able to travel to our other offices to be with the team/meet clients when required.

About you

Our Firm is built on the value of “Human First”, and because of that, we look for those who love to work with people. You’ll be a great communicator, with a collaborative approach to work. We are ideally looking for somebody with the following;

  • Experienced conveyancer
  • Experience in acting for lender clients to include acting on repossession sales and post completion matters (desirable, not essential)
  • Appetite and passion to grow the team with a view to expand into origination work on behalf of the firm’s lender clients
  • A passion for excellent Client service, with an ability to anticipate the client’s needs and requirements and react quickly to deliver outstanding service.

If you this experience, or closely related experience – we’d love to hear from you and encourage you to apply.

If you would like to learn more about this opportunity before applying, please contact Brandon Duchesne, Talent Acquisition Manager, for an informal and non-committal conversation - Brandon.Duchesne@moorebarlow.com.
