Moore Barlow is currently seeking a Senior Associate (Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive) to join our specialist Court of Protection Team in Southampton.

About the role...
Our specialist team covers all aspects of Court of Protection work, including property and affairs management, and community care for clients who have received compensation through a claim related to personal injury or medical negligence. Our Senior Associates are responsible for handling a caseload that covers a broad variety of complex matters and are expected to uphold the standards of care and support that our team is recognised for.
Day to Day:
- You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver the best outcomes for our clients, taking the lead on your own caseload of matters whilst providing support to the more senior fee-earners as required.
- You will be responsible for managing your own client relationships, whilst ensuring that the highly attentive and customer-focused approach that we have developed is upheld.
- As a Senior Associate, you will also be expected to assist with the coaching and mentoring of the more inexperienced members of the Team, including Solicitors / Legal Executives, Trainees, and Paralegals.

- A Senior Associate (Solicitor / Legal Executive) with prior experience managing a varied caseload of Court of Protection matters (we envisage this to be in the region of 7PQE and upwards)
- Familiarity with time recording and being responsible for an annual fee-target.
- Engaging, empathetic, and friendly communication style, with the ability to interact confidently with vulnerable clients (and their families) who are going through a difficult time.
- Creative problem-solving skills; able to think outside of the box with a willingness to support others in the team.
- Experience in, or an interest to be involved in, the supervision and ongoing training and development of the less-experienced members of the team.
